What should I do with my life?

As a Christian, my mission in life should be that of Jesus. When speaking of His mission in Luke 4:18-19, he says:

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."

In Acts 1, Jesus promises that we (those who follow Christ) will receive the Holy Spirit, and with that, POWER -- power to be witnesses to Him. So, now that the Spirit of the Lord is upon ME, what am I to do? It seems that it should be the same as what is in Luke 4 -- preach the gospel to the poor, heal the brokenhearted, proclaim liberty to captives and oppressed, and sight to the blind. No brainer, right?

So why doesn't my church do ANY of those things? Instead, we hold social events to entertain each other, with no regard to the poor, brokenhearted, or oppressed. I…
